The Assistant Facilitator provides assistance to the before and after school program by setting up and supporting activities, under the direction and supervision of the School-Age Site Facilitator and/or PT School-Age Facilitators, and maintaining a safe environment for students.

DETAILS:

• 9 ½ month school year position, on a 196 day calendar for 2018-19
• FLSA-Non-exempt, hourly positions, with no fringe benefits
• Part-time, less than 20 hours per week
• After care
• Anticipated starting date is: immediately

QUALIFICATIONS:

Requires applicant to be a current high school student

Prefers prior experience or current enrollment in child development and/or early childhood education, or related, courses or programs

Requires the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing

Requires the ability to work cooperatively with facilitators and students

Requires the ability to read and follow written directions

Requires the ability to follow oral instructions

Requires the ability to set-up for activities and finish tasks as directed by facilitators

Requires the ability to establish and maintain effective positive professional relationships with facilitators and students

Requires the ability to perform duties in accordance with all school and district requirements and policies

Requires the ability to maintain confidential information

Requires the ability to work with a diverse population

Requires current Hepatitis A vaccination series to be completed or willingness to complete
