DETAILS:
- All positions are subject to adequate enrollment and are temporary summer positions
- No fringe benefits
- Program location is Mesnier Primary School
- Positions needed are part-time during lunch/recess hours
- Summer School employment is a commitment to work all days in the program
Time Frame
Tentative program dates are June 3 - June 28, 2024
Program is 4 weeks
Grades K-5 will be in session Monday - Friday, 7 hours/day (+ 20 min. lunch)
Playground/Cafeteria Monitors work Monday - Friday, 3.5 hours/day
Juneteenth on June 19th is a non-work/school day
Dates may be adjusted by administration as needed
Summer staff will be paid on Friday, 7/5/24
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A candidate with prior experience supervising children in a daycare, school, or camp setting is preferred.
- CPR and first aid certification training is preferred.
- The ability to work independently, use good judgment, think quickly, and respond to situations in a calm, caring manner is required.
- The ability to redirect and interact positively with students is required.
- The ability to effectively supervise school-age children is required.
- The ability to work with a multi-ethnic, multicultural student population is required.
- The ability to work in extreme temperatures when outside is required.
